Alliance for Women In Media
Alliance for Women in Media (formerly American Women in Radio and Television) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of women in electronic media.
Founded over 50 years ago, by women, for women; Alliance for Women in Media continues to support, educate, and inspire women in the radio, television, print, Internet, public relations, promotion, publicity, and related electronic media fields.
To date, we have made many advances. In the face of ever-expanding technology, we continue to be enthusiastic about the growth of Alliance for Women in Media.
Our chapter is open to women (and men) from the entire New England area including great towns and cities from Boston to Providence, Manchester to Portland, Springfield to Burlington, and everywhere in between.
One of the ways to realize the mission of Alliance for Women in Media is by mentoring the next generation of female broadcasters. For Boston/New England AWM, this mission is the foundation from which we build every event.
Membership does have its privileges. As a member, you will receive:
- Networking opportunities at chapter luncheons, meetings, and forums.
- Admittance to educational and professional development seminars and workshops.
- Subscription to Making Waves, AWMs publication, containing information about legislative issues, industry news and events, as well as association news.
- Discounts to national and local AWM events and inclusion in AWM's national directory.

If you are a member of AWM/New England...or you're just checking us out...WELCOME! Our chapter is blessed with incredible women and men who are at work in every aspect of radio, television, print, internet communications, marketing and PR. Our mission is to provide networking and enrichment opportunities for our members and we have a special interest in mentoring the next generation.
